Outdoor Badge Weekend

18th to 20th May Outdoor Badge Weekend

Scouts from our group will be joining scouts from all round the district for the weekend. This weekend will be at Thriftwood Scout Camp in Brentwood. A weekend of camping and badge work. More to follow about this event.

Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Party

We will be holding an indoor street party to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee as she is Scouting’s Patron. This will be open to all members of 5^th Prittlewell and their families.

Cub District Sports Day

20th June District Sports Day

Cub Scouts District sports day will be at Temple Sutton School this year.  Very active, varied races and that are greatly enjoyed by all, lots of fun on this event and the chance to represent 5th Prittlewell.

Cub and Beavers Fun Day

24th June Cub and Beaver Fun Day

Our Cub and Beaver Scouts will be going to the fun day at Gilwell Park. The activities on offer are aerial runways, abseiling and climbing, high ropes, rafting, water slides, grass sledging, prusiking, 3G swing, face painting, bouncy castles and fairground.

Church Parade

This will be Messy Church is a new initiative which aims to bring church to the people. It provides a less structured form of worship which can come in the form of crafts, singing, games and many other activities and refreshments.

Scouting Skills Camp

29th June to 1st July Scouting Camping Skills

We are holding a skills camp at Kingston Ridge Scout Campsite for the cubs and the new scouts . Learn all sorts of camping skills, setting up the campsite and cooking, camp gadgets and much much more.

District Scout Camping Competition

6th to 8th July District Camping Competition 

Our Scouts will in the district camping competition at Belchamps. The Scouts are expected to show initiative and skill, Setting up there own camp, cooking there own menu and making camp gadgets.

Group Hike and Sizzling BBQ

15th July More than a Walk in the Park

This fun event with a Beaver Hike, Cub Hike and a Scout Hike set to end up at Belchamps for a BBQ. Parents welcome to hike with us or to the BBQ at the end.

Scouts Summer Camp

Our Scouts will be camping with scouts from 1st and 2nd Prittlewell Scouts at Broadstone Warren. Lots at this campsite in the Ashdown Forest. I camp here when i was a scout not that long ago... ("back in the stone age") WHO SAID THAT?

Indoor Badge Weekend

Our Scouts will be joining Scouts from all round the district for the weekend. 5th Prittlewell will also be running JOTA JOTA on the Sat Night. More details to follow. This is a great weekend and a chance to get another badge... and Talk to Scouts from all round the world.

Family Camp 2012

Join the fun come to our Family Camp at Belchamps Scout Camp. Inflateables, Site Activities, Displays, Campfire, Live Music and bar in the evening. Also lots of chances to learn outdoor cooking skills and so much more.

East Restaurant Fundraiser

We will be going to East Restaurant for a fun evening of eating, socialising. East is an All You Can Eat Chinese buffet in Alexander Street Southend on Sea. It will cost £15 per Adult and £10 per child (under 120cm). Please support this event to raise funds.

Night at the Museum

Don''t miss this wonderful weekend of activities for Beavers and Cubs. Some great reports about this event the Museum has made avalable to a few groups each year. Planetarium is also included.

Gilwell Wintercamp
